Integrated Deep Tissue Therapy

Unfortunately, I am currently not accepting new clients until further notice. Thank you for your understanding .

Jeff Saxe, Lmt

Jeff has been practicing deep tissue, sports and medical massage for 15+ years.  Jeff has extensive experience working with marathon runners, triathletes, swimmers, cyclists, Cross fitters, martial artists, aerialists, tennis players and everything in between.

Jeff is also privileged to work with members of the NYC Performing Arts community - Ballet and Modern dancers, Classical musicians, Opera singers, Actors and Broadway babies.

“Massage therapy is the sweet spot where art and science meet: Part training, part experience, part intuition and part creativity. My hands-on style is an intense blend of power, technique, sensitivity and focus. “

“ I like to keep it simple. Treat the chief complaint. Make sure you leave feeling better than when you came in. If I can find and address an underlying cause, treat a secondary issue in the same session or demonstrate self-care tips  - I will.”

Athletically: Jeff swam at the University of Connecticut (200 Butterfly, 400 IM), ran and cycled in grad school at the University of Florida. Took classes at the School of the Hartford Ballet, moved to NYC and studied ballet at the David Howard Dance Center.  Trained for years with weights.  Took Spin classes. Practiced Tai Chi and Pilates to prevent injury.  Returned to his roots and swims almost daily.

Deep tissue, Sports and Medical Massage is my clinical specialty. The work involves intense, detailed manipulation of the soft tissue – muscles, tendons, ligaments, joint capsules and fascia. This is not a spa massage.

What clients say

I have been working with Jeff for 3 years now, and he has never failed to give me incredible body work. As a professional dancer, I have very specific needs to keep my body in top performance shape.  From day one, Jeff has provided me with sessions that allow me to leave feeling completely different than when I walked in.  His incredible deep psoas release helps me keep my alignment in ballet, while his deep tissue back massages allow for my spine to be fully mobile in contemporary work. I highly recommend Jeff for any athlete looking to stay at the top of their game!

Eva Janiszewski

"As someone that's relied heavily on massage to recover from a few severe injuries, I can say with certainty Jeff is the best you'll find. He's amazingly skilled, knowledgeable and determined to solve whatever problem you come to him with."

 -Anthony C.

I started going to Jeff for constant shoulder pain from weightlifting, after first visiting a doctor who advised surgery. Within one visit of targeted massage therapy, my shoulder was back on track. I've used other methods (lacrosse ball, stretching, physical trainers) but when the pinch returns, Jeff can always get me feeling back to normal after a session or two! If you are in any kind of discomfort or regularly work out, I fully recommend Jeff
